Lens-Artists Challenge #417: Where Does It Lead?

Egidio leads this weeks challenge with – Lens-Artists Challenge #417: Where Does It Lead?

We’re presently away on the Greek island of Kos. We’re holed up in our hotel room watching and listening to a pretty spectacular storm so whilst that passes through I thought I’d write up a challenge post. There won’t be much writing because I’m using an iPad which is torturous. So, here are a few images I’ve pulled down from the (very dark grey) cloud.

This is Lanzarote, Spain. It’s a popular winter training location for professional triathletes. I’m not sure this guy was one of those but he had chosen a tough training route, whichever way he decided to go from here.
This is Andalusia, Spain. I don’t often get an opportunity to be a back seat passenger in a car. I always grab a few images whenever I am. This is the road back to the coast from Seville.
The Brecon Beacons in South Wales, UK
I took this two days ago. We took a boat trip out from Kos to some small Greek islands. There’s only about 30 people living here so I was surprised to see this lorry coming down the mountain track as we left. As an aside – The guide on the boat said he was pretty sure we’d see dolphins in this area, which we did shortly after. I was impressed with his local knowledge but we were then told the cages at the bottom of the cliff are part of a fish farm. It’s like a free takeout for the dolphins 🙂

I’ll leave you with this last holiday pic. Just to show you it’s not all beer and skittles here on Kos. I’m joking the suns just returned so we’re heading off into town. 😎

  1. Great collection, Steve. I’ve used an iPad for the occasional post while traveling, so I feel your pain.
On our fall trips, I often ride in the back seat and grab photos for Cellpic Sunday from there. Sometimes, there’s the occasional AI removal of a bug splatter… isn’t that what AI was invented for? >grin<

    • Thank you John. AI is perfect for that. We sent an image of us, on a scruffy beach littered with rubbish, to our daughter last week. She sent it back, all cleaned up with all the rubbish removed, after loading it into Chat GPT and asking it to clean up the image. She said it took a few seconds for Chat GPT to sort it out. It’s something I could have spent a lot of time on in Photoshop. I’m going to try he same general instruction with the generative remove tool in PS later 🙂

    • Thank you Sophia. I picked up the idea from a wedding photographer who took a picture as he and his wife were driving behind a bride and groom who were in a vintage car. I do it whenever I can but I’m rarely a car passenger 🙂
